Get running for premature babies in 2023!

Monash Children’s Hospital is thrilled to yet again be receiving support from the team at  Running for Premature Babies as they take part in several running events in Melbourne over the coming months.

Founded in 2006, Running for Premature Babies has raised over $5 million in funds to support hospitals across Australia in caring for the tiniest, most vulnerable patients.

Every year, more than 26,000 babies are born prematurely in Australia, with many needing specialised neonatal care to survive.

The funds raised by participating in marathon events help Running for Premature Babies to provide urgently needed, lifesaving equipment.  From incubators to specialized ventilators and monitors, every piece of equipment is crucial in giving premature babies the very best chance of survival and quality of life.

This year, you’re invited to join in the fun, and the fundraising by signing up to be a part of the Monash Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team as they participate in Run Melbourne (July) and the Melbourne Marathon (October). There’s also a special event for the kids in August – you can check out the details here.

If you’re keen to get involved in the upcoming events, head over to the official team page where you can sign up. Good luck!
