Hawthorn Football Club players Mitch Lewis and Jack Scrimshaw made a very special visit to Monash Children’s Hospital this week.
The AFL players spent time chatting with patients, gifting club merchandise, signing autographs, and sharing their love for footy – making everyone’s day on the wards brighter.
Monash Children’s Hospital’s own Hawks star, Hayden Auber, led the way around the hospital. Outside of his work as Ward Clerk on Lagoon, Hayden is a star player in the Hawthorn Football Club Wheelchair AFL squad, taking out the Victorian Wheelchair Football League (VWFL) best and fairest award in 2024.
Visits like this mean so much to our patients, their families and staff. A big thank you to Mitch, Jack and the Hawthorn Football Club for creating these special moments.
