In this edition, there are stories about the different ways people and organisations support Monash Health, our patients and our teams.
Monash Health teams have gone above and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our nurses, midwives, doctors, allied health professionals and non-clinical employees have made an outstanding contribution over the past two years. We are very pleased to report that this dedication has been seen and recognised through some wonderful in-kind donations from companies for our team members.
Also in this issue, we report that the new Paediatric Emergency Department at Monash Health’s Clayton site is now operational. Many people have supported this project over the past few years, and we are very grateful.
Momentum also thanks PASO Medical for their significant donation that has enabled Monash Health Pathology to purchase an important piece of high-tech equipment. This device is allowing us to advance cancer care.
We celebrate our friends at Freemasons Foundation Victoria for their exceptional generosity towards projects and equipment across the health service, particularly to Monash Children’s Hospital.
We also introduce two senior doctors from Monash Children’s Hospital who are in training for a fundraising bike ride – the Chain Reaction Challenge. They work so diligently every day and now they are leading the team helping to raise funds to purchase life-saving equipment that is used in an infant resuscitation. Please join us in lending your support to the doctors.
