Imagine, a baby not able to leave the hospital for an entire year?
Monash Children’s Hospital, part of Monash Health, is one of Australia’s leading providers of integrated children’s health services, caring for more than 100,000 children every year.
One of the children who we have cared for is Konrad. He was born at Monash Health with his bowel outside his body and was only able to leave the hospital one day shy of his first birthday.
Konrad is now five years old, and in his young life, he has already undergone more than ten surgeries and his heart has stopped many times.
