The Monash Health Foundation Impact Review 2025 highlights a year of outstanding support and generosity, making a significant difference in improving outcomes for our patients, community, and our teams who provide their care.
The Impact Review details our achievements throughout the 2024–25 financial year, made possible by the dedication of our fundraisers, donors, employees, community organisations, corporate partners, and trusts and foundations.
With an incredible $10.9 million raised through events, partnerships and donor campaigns, we have been able to invest in new equipment, medical research, scholarships, professional development, patient and family centred care programs and new facilities across Monash Health – all with the aim to help people live well at every stage of life.
The impacts are very real.
Here are just some of the achievements featured in the Impact Review:
- New state-of-the-art ventilators enabled 17-month-old Sophia to leave Monash Children’s Hospital to grow and play in her own home and start living in her own community.
- New dementia-friendly spaces are now open at Monash Medical Centre to support patients and their carers during emergency stays.
- Prostate cancer patients had their recovery time reduced and improved cancer clearance rates, thanks to our first robotic surgical system at Casey Hospital, funded by an incredibly generous donation.
- An extraordinary legacy through our Gifts in Wills program from the late Dr Elizabeth Lewis is transforming global paediatric training with 36 clinical and educational scholarships.
- We are revolutionising prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, thanks to the largest funding commitment to date for pioneering research at the Victorian Heart Hospital.
The support we receive comes in all forms, whether it be through our events, multi-million dollar research grants or people like 12-year-old Lola who raised over $19,000 with a big birthday party fundraiser, giving back to the nephrology team who have been her care team for the past decade.
