Write your Will for free this Charity Wills Week

Did you know that more than half of Australians don’t have a Will? Having a Will is one of the most important ways to protect the people you love and ensure your wishes are honoured. It can also be a meaningful way to support causes that matter to you.

Charity Wills Week runs from 16–30 March 2026, offering a timely reminder to consider writing or updating your Will.

Your loved ones will always come first. However, many people choose to leave a small percentage of their estate to a cause they care about, helping create a lasting impact for future generations.

Why having a Will matters

  • Your loved ones come first – a Will ensures the people closest to you are looked after.

  • Create a lasting legacy – many people choose to include a gift to a cause they care about.

  • Support world-class healthcare – helping advance research, innovation and better treatments.

  • Flexible and donor-directed – you can choose how your gift is used.

  • Carefully managed and honoured – gifts are administered by the Monash Health Foundation with care, integrity and respect for donor wishes.

Writing your Will

If you’re ready to write your Will, there are several options available.
You may wish to consult an accredited wills and estate lawyer, particularly if you have a complex estate or specific wishes.
Alternatively, you may consider using an online Will-writing service.

To make the process simple and accessible, the Monash Health Foundation has partnered with three platforms that allow you to create a legally valid Will online:

Safewill – is offering free Wills until 30 March (usually $160).
Willed – is offering free Wills until 30 March and 50% off in April and May.
EveryWill (formerly Gathered Here) – offers free Wills all year round

You can create a legally valid Will online in as little as 10 minutes, at no cost.

Each platform guides you through key decisions such as appointing executors and outlining your wishes. Wills are reviewed by an Australian solicitor to ensure they meet legal requirements. While there is no obligation to include a gift to Monash Health, many supporters choose to leave a small portion of their estate to help create a healthier future for the community.

Even a small gift can make a lasting impact — supporting world-class care and improving healthcare for generations to come.
